Zeelo Booking System

Campus Shuttle: New Booking System

It is essential that you Book a Seat prior to travelling from the first day of Summer Term, 6 May.

Visit zeelo.co or download the Zeelo app for iOS or android and search for your University of Kent Campus Shuttle. Purchase a free University of Kent Travel pass and then book your journeys. We recommend you use the Zeelo app so you can be notified of any disruption to your booked journeys. This will replace updates to the @CampusShuttle account on X (formerly twitter).

All passes are valid for any of the serviced stops (Keynes stop, Piers Quay, Historic Dockyard or Pembroke) between Canterbury and Medway campuses. If you are using the Piers Quay or Historic Dockyard stops, make sure to check the pick-up/drop-off times on the timetable. This will differ slightly from the time shown in your app and on your booking (from Canterbury or Medway).

For steps on how to book or cancel a seat, please watch the booking video or read the booking guide.

Campus Shuttle New Booking System & Tracking

There is a new Campus Shuttle booking system for our free coach service between Canterbury and Medway campuses. Booking a seat on the service is essential for travel Tuesday 7 February 2023.

You will need to claim your annual travel pass, then you can book your seat(s) up to 2 weeks prior to travelling and up to 30 minutes before you travel. The bookings are applied to your annual travel pass. This can be accessed from the ‘my tickets’ section (the wallet icon if on a mobile). Select ‘View ticket’ and a QR code will appear for the drivers to scan as you board.

To book a seat on the Campus Shuttle Service visit the booking system. For more information on how to book a seat, please read the booking guide.

To track the Campus Shuttle service there is a new app called ‘University of Kent Travel’ which allows you to track the services in live time and is available from the Apple App store and Play Store for androids.

Campus Shuttle: additional Grange Coach services from 26th – 30th September 2022

We are pleased to announce that from Monday 26th September 2022,  the Campus Shuttle will have additional capacity and late night services operating between Canterbury and Medway campuses. The additional coaches put in place this week (WC 26/09/22) will be provided by Grange Travel (see below image) and we hope that Kings Ferry will be able to accommodate the additional services from next week when the booking system should be live on our website. Full details for the timetable of these services are displayed on our Campus Shuttle webpage.

Passenger numbers will be monitored and if coaches are operating at a low capacity or empty on a regular basis the timetable may be subject to change. Follow @CampusShuttle on twitter, where any disruptions or changes to the advertised timetable will be announced.

Please note that the journey time is approximately 45 minutes; although this is dependent upon traffic, ensure you plan your journey (including any walking time). If it is essential that you be on time then we recommend you catch the earlier service to avoid any disappointment if there are any delays on the roads. By boarding the coach you agree to the Campus Shuttle’s Terms of Service.

Unveiling of our revamped Transport & Travel website

After many months in development, we are proud to announce that we have a brand-new transport website! Our new website offers everything you need to know ranging from bus timetables to applying for a parking permit. The sleek yet simple design ensures that all of our useful information is accessible and easy-to-read so you can plan your journey with ease.

We would like to give a big thank you to Sami Bakaitis, a Student Work-Study Associate who worked with us on this new project. His developing knowledge on building websites and his eagerness to implement sustainability into our new webpages made him the perfect candidate for this role. Despite working from home, the Transport Team, the Web & Learning Development Team and Sami were all able to work together seamlessly to create a fluid and functional website.

“I am proud of Sami and Kelsey Laidler-Symes (Sustainable Travel Operations Coordinator) for having produced a website that supports the University Travel Plans aim to reduce single car occupancy, carbon emissions and provides information about Commuting Smarter around Kent.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them both and others who have given their assistance to enable them to achieve this. In particular, the support from Gill Brealey (Traffic Operations Coordinator), the technical expertise from Jonathan Thirwell (UX Developer) and the guidance and help from Mark Fendley (Web and Learning Development Manager)

We welcome feedback on your thoughts or ideas on how we can improve our webpages to ensure they continue to work for everyone.”
