  • Destination Success Bootcamp – 24-26 May

The Careers and Employability Service is launching our first ‘Destination Success Bootcamp’ which is a 3-day intensive training programme with the purpose of helping students to map out their journey to success and build confidence in their abilities. Applications are now open for the Undergraduate Summer School 2022 run by the British Ecological Society. Accommodation and food costs will be covered by the British Ecological Society. Clean and green environments can nurture positive mental and physical wellbeing and promote a happier community. A litter-free place reduces damage to local habitats, and by recycling materials that might otherwise become litter, natural resources are also protected.

It is well known that litter breeds litter; people are generally less likely to drop litter in an area that is clean. The first and most effective method of prevention, therefore, is setting the example in your community, so why not take part in our Litter Pick.

Come along and join us at KentCOG 12:30pm-2pm. You will meet fellow students, learn new skills and get the most out of gardening, socialising and wellbeing opportunities. We also aim to run workshops supporting the local wildlife.

Please wear sturdy footwear, bring waterproofs (always be prepared for the wet weather!) There is shelter in the potting shed and also in the polytunnels.

All tools will be provided.

  • Gray’s Inn GDL Scholarships – applications open! – for non-law graduates

Are you considering a career at the Bar?

 Gray’s Inn has funding available to support students pursuing a career at the Bar of England and Wales. We are currently accepting applications for our GDL Scholarships. All non-law undergraduate students intending to study any full or part time postgraduate law conversion course during the 2022/23 academic year are eligible to apply.

GDL Scholarship funding ranges from £2,500 to £12,000. All scholars receive a minimum of £2,500 before being invited to apply for additional means-tested funding.

In addition, all GDL scholars automatically qualify for a Bar Course Scholarship interview and, if successful at interview, their base financial Bar Course Scholarship award starts at £7,500.

an industry-recognised award, which credits the best student examples of digital literacy in the country. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are applying to placement or grad roles, to demonstrate desirable employability skills such as creative thinking and communication.

From engineering to geography, business to architecture, the Digital Edge Awards are open to all UK university students. To enter, students should submit coursework where they’ve showcased digital literacy skills – that’s work that shows off creative problem solving, critical thinking and visual communication! The awards are judged by a panel of experts, including
