The Environment Agency is currently recruiting new members for the Thames Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC), to help shape local plans and influence the future of the environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Risk Management Authorities and others to help create partnerships which fund and deliver projects which reduce the impact of flood risk on local communities.

We are currently looking for people with expertise in:

·        climate change and associated flooding risks

·        managing flood risk in communities

·        economics (including valuing environmental and wider society benefits)

·        general flood and coastal risk management

There are 2 member roles available. We remain flexible in the specific roles these members will fill. The selection of new members will be based on which candidates’ expertise will enable the RFCC to best pursue its aims. We also need a mix of specialist interests across the whole RFCC membership.
