Beacon Tea Party

An all staff and student tea party to celebrate the Beacon Projects.

Enjoy tea and a cupcake in Colyer-Fergusson foyer at this informal, drop-in event on 11 May. Tea, coffee and cupcakes will be served from 3pm onwards, making it the perfect opportunity to have a break from revision or to catch up with friends and colleagues, there will also be a chance to view the Beacon Projects display.

To celebrate the Beacon Projects there will be a number of items and images on show; detailing some of the project highlights so far and giving information on milestones yet to come. This is set to include models from architectural projects: Crater Theatre and Tensegritree; an online display from K-Moocs* and a host of inspiring and thought-provoking images and objects from the nine other projects.

Beacon teams will be also be stopping by for refreshments and will be able to answer any questions about their projects and provide information on upcoming events and activities.

We look forward to kicking off the Summer Term by celebrating the Beacon Projects alongside students and staff from across the University. Drinks and cupcakes will be provided free of charge.

The Beacons are 12 unique and exiting projects taking place across the University in the 50th anniversary year. Each project takes something ordinary and transforms it into the extraordinary and each will leave a lasting legacy.
