Look out for news and features for and about staff at Kent reaching you in new and different ways this term!
Based on increasing numbers of staff opting to receive information digitally and the introduction of our new News Centre, we are now offering a variety of online ways to find out about what colleagues and the University are doing. These include:
- KENT Staff online e-newsletter which is now being published weekly, every Monday lunchtime
- Kent Life stories, focusing, for example, on colleague successes and key University achievements and events, on our News Centre webpages
- A new features section on our staff portal, Campus Online
- Regular updates on our dedicated @unikentstaff Twitter feed
In addition, Corporate Communications has established a new Staff Communications Group, comprising staff throughout the University who are involved in aspects of staff communications, to ensure we share information with each other and with you.
In common with many other HE institutions, this does mean that we are no longer going to produce the KENT Staff magazine in print. The last few years have seen a decline in its popularity and we now have so many online alternatives we felt the time was right.
Feel free to take a look at how staff news and features are now being highlighted in these and other ways and let us know what you think at communications@kent.ac.uk
