EmpFest17: Employability events on the Medway and Canterbury campuses for all students.
- Medway Campus 9 – 20 October 2017
- Canterbury Campus 23 October – 3 November 2017
The Employability Festival is coming to the University of Kent. Get involved this year and encourage your students to come along.
Coordinated by the Careers and Employability Service and building upon the success of previous years, Academic Schools, Professional Services and Kent Union are coming together to offer students and recent graduates a fantastic array of career and skills development activities. Students can take part in competitions and get expert advice on CVs, skills development, interviews, assessment centres and much more. At Kent, we are passionate about preparing our students for the world of work and further study. We want them to be informed about the options they have with their qualifications and to feel confident when choosing and applying for jobs. We want them to get the most out of their time at Kent, embracing intra and extra-curricular opportunities to learn, grow and develop. One of the highlights of the Festival is a huge Careers Fair on Tuesday 31 October, 12pm-3pm in the Sports Centre on Canterbury Campus. The Fair hosts over 100 organisations from different sectors eager to meet with students. It’s a great chance to get information about graduate employers and discover how to work for them. For those who would find it difficult to attend the fair during a busy period an Access Hour will be available from 11am.
Events are planned all over campus and the great news is that the majority are open to students from all stages and schools. But it’s best to check the specific event for more information.
All you need to know can be found on the EmpFest webpage. You can also collect a programme from the Careers and Employability Service building.
