Mon 22 May, 1.10pm | Gulbenkian, Canterbury
School of Music & Fine Art are delighted to present the Octandre Ensemble, a flexible collective of London-based musicians co-founded by composer Christian Mason and conductor Jonathan Hargreaves. Taking its name from Varese’s seminal work, the ensemble is dedicated to exploring the energy of sounds, and the webs of ideas that form around them. Today’s lunchtime concert will feature premier of new works, written by SMFA students, alongside existing repertoire for flute, cello and classical guitar.
This event is free; donations are greatly appreciated.
