Loading – contemporary new exhibition in historic setting

30 3rd Year BA (Hons) Fine Art students from the School of Music and Fine Art will be exhibiting their work in historic Rochester High Street, from Saturday 10 – Wednesday 14 December.

This free-to-enter exhibition is a unique opportunity to view contemporary art against the back drop of a Grade II Georgian town house undergoing major renovation. Rooms will be transformed into an array of spaces allowing visitors to experience a variety of multi-cultural and ethnically diverse work, which includes Luiza Jordon’s Feminine Vessels, representing the presence/aura of the female form without explicitly using the nude or body.

New Materialism, the carnivorous behaviour within material ecology, is central to the work of Chenille Harris as she expresses reverence to fungal matter to encapsulate a world of beauty and ugliness.

These are just two of the artists featured. To join the guest list for the Private View on Friday 9 December, 18.00-21.00, please book via Eventbrite.
