Tamara Rathcke to undertake research-led teaching in Humboldt

Dr Tamara Rathcke, Lecturer in Linguistics, from the Department of English Language & Linguistics, has received an Erasmus Teaching Mobility award to visit the University of Humboldt in Berlin.

At Humboldt, Tamara will focus on research-led teaching; she will give a seminar series on acoustic phonetics and introduce interactive software into lectures, Socrative App, which is a regularly feature of her teaching at Kent.

The teaching will be combined with deepening the research links between the two institutions, with Tamara collaborating with Professor Christine Mooshammer for phonetics and phonology research.
