Three choirs come together on Friday evening in Colyer-Fergusson for a choral concert launching the Invicta Voices Alumni Chamber Choir.
Founded and conducted by alumnus Matt Bamford for former members of the Chamber Choir based in London, Invicta Voices brings its first concert to Colyer-Fergusson Hall.
As well as the new choir, the programme includes performances by the University Chamber Choir and Cecilian Choirs, together with the String Sinfonia, in a programme ranging from Monteverdi’s vivacious ‘Beatus Vir’ to colourful contemporary pieces by Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo. British composer Paul Patterson will also be in attendance to hear his sublime motet ‘Salvum Fac.’
Admission is free; the performance starts at 8pm and will last just over an hour. More details on the Music at Kent website.
