Children’s rights and international politics talk

The School of Politics and International Relations Public Speaker Programme is pleased to welcome Massimo Toschi, presenting ‘Children’s Rights and international politics from Haiti to Europe: Time to Walk the Talk’.

Massimo Toschi is a member of the Roma Integration team. He has been with the FRA since 2009, contributing to the Agency’s cooperation with civil society (the Fundamental Rights Platform) and National Human Rights Bodies, as well as its work on the rights of the child and violence against women. He previously worked with the UN, as Child Protection Advisor and Chief of Child Protection Unit for the UN Peace-Keeping Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), as well as at the OSRSG/CAAAC headquarters. He was involved with the drafting of the EU Guidelines on Children and Armed Conflict. Massimo worked for the European Commission’s European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights in Eastern Europe and for European NGOs managing several projects on child protection within the EU.

The talk will take place on Wednesday 18th March 2015 at 5pm in Grimond Lecture Theatre 3, followed by a drinks reception in Aphra Foyer.
