November 2014 Congregations – Staff help required

The Corporate Events Office is preparing for the November graduation ceremonies in Canterbury and Rochester Cathedrals.

We would welcome and appreciate offers of help for any or all of the ceremonies. Your support on these occasions is very much appreciated and contributes significantly to the success of the event. We would encourage departments and schools to volunteer as much as possible for their respective ceremonies (determined by faculty in November) as students genuinely appreciate seeing familiar faces on the day.

There are a number of roles to be filled throughout the Congregations period and we welcome any member of staff from any part of the University to join and assist us with all the volunteer roles listed below. Refreshments will be made available throughout the day and any car parking expenses incurred will be refunded (please keep hold of receipts).

Volunteering duties will consist of the following roles: graduate registration and ushering. Training will be provided in advance of the ceremonies.

If you are able to help, please complete the following Doodle poll, listing your full name and ticking which ceremonies you are available to work. Please also add a note on the system if there is a specific role you would like to perform on the day.
