Chris Morrison, Copyright and Licence Compliance Officer at the University is presenting his creation ‘Copyright the Card Game‘ in a webinar this Thursday 13 October at 16.00. The game has been downloaded over 2,500 times and has been used extensively through the UK higher education sector to make copyright law and its relationship to education and research accessible.
Chris will talk about how the game came to exist, his experiences of playing it both at Kent and at external events and will also present on its relationship with his research into copyright literacy with Dr Jane Secker at LSE.
Finally Chris will talk about the importance of communities in addressing the challenges that copyright laws and licences present to students, teachers and researchers, using the recently created Kent Copyright Community as a case study.
