The Beacon Projects team will be holding a tea party for all staff and students in the Colyer-Fergusson foyer on Monday 11 May, 15.00-16.30. The tea party will be an informal, drop-in event and with free refreshments should provide a good setting to catch up with friends and colleagues after the vacation or to simply enjoy tea and a cupcake.
The Beacon Projects are twelve distinctive projects taking place in the 50th year and designed to leave a lasting legacy. Staff and students from a huge range of schools and departments have been involved. The tea party will be a fantastic opportunity to find out more about these projects including upcoming events and activities and what you might see around campus over the coming months.
Project leads will be on hand to answer questions and there will also be a display showcasing some of the project highlights, including a number of artefacts donated to the University and items from the British stand-up comedy archive, as well as an online display from K-MOOCs*, 3D models of architectural projects Crater Theatre and Tensegritree and images from the new Beacon Observatory.
