Last month we were saddened to bring you the news that Emeritus Professor of French, Robert (Bob) Gibson had passed away.

The School of European and Modern Languages have published a fitting tribute to him on their webpages with contributions by other emeritus members of staff who knew him well.

We will publish the funeral arrangements once they are available.
