The season of Lent, kept by Christians all over the world, begins on 10 February. Staff and students are welcome to traditional Ash Wednesday worship services in the newly refurbished chapel in Eliot College: Anglican/’C of E’ 08.30 Communion with Imposition of Ashes (preceded, from 08.10, by juice and pastries); 13.30 Catholic Mass with Imposition of Ashes. A similar Catholic Mass will take place at the Franciscan Study Centre, Giles Lane at 18.45 followed by soup and bread, with donations to charity.
