Large applicant days- parking on campus

Large applicant day- Wednesday 14 February

Following last week’s transport team newsletter, large applicant days are starting this week at Canterbury campus.

175 parking bays will be reserved in Giles lane car park for visitors to the applicant days, as requested by Enrolment Management Services. Applicant days are essential recruitment events for the University.

Campus Security will put out the red sign advising staff and students once Giles Lane car park is full. Please head down Park Wood road to Park Wood Courts (outside student residences), Pavilion and Oaks car parks. See parking map for locations.

A free Park Wood Park and Ride bus pass is available to pick up from the Security and Transport Centre for parking permit holders.

Please be aware that we do not guarantee a parking space on campus, as per the traffic regulations. Where reasonable, you may want to consider alternative means of travel to and from campus, or allow more time for your journey. Plan your journey to campus.

Future large applicant days

Larger applicant days tend to be on Wednesdays. Following feedback from last year, we will not send specific emails about applicant day parking. Instead, please refer to the transport team newsletter, sent out every two weeks, and events calendar to keep up to date. The number of reserved bays for events will be updated onto the calendar once confirmed, usually a few days before.
