Barrier update (Giles Lane car park)
We are in the final testing phase for the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) barriers. We hope to provide a further update soon about when the barriers will become fully operational.
Installation of parking bays (rear of Park Wood Admin) – From now until Monday 29 April
Parking bays are being installed in the area at the rear of Park Wood Admin building. The installation of these bays replaces the loss of bays that occurred as part of the Woodys development.
Student Centre (Sports Centre pink zone car park) – from now until Wednesday 31 July
36 bays will be closed to assist with the building of the Student Centre (SPS and Biosciences), requested by Estates Department.
Motorcycle bay closed (Sports Centre road) – From now until Wednesday 31 July 2020
To locate a container for the new Medical School, as requested by Estates department.
Applicant Days (Rutherford & Tyler Court car parks)
Bays will be reserved in Rutherford and Tyler Court car parks to assist with the following Applicant Days as requested by Enrolment Management Services.
- Wednesday 3 April – 77 bays reserved
KMMS Conference (Rutherford car park) – Wednesday 3 April
50 bays will be reserved to assist with Kent and Medway Medical School Conference, as requested by KMMS Project Office.
KMMS Open Day (Giles Lane car park)- Saturday 6 April
Parking will be provided to assist with the first Medical School Open Day. Requested by KMMS Project Office.
Applicant Days (Giles Lane car park)
Bays will be reserved in Giles Lane car park (rear of Woolf) to assist with the following Applicant Days as requested by Enrolment Management Services.
- Thursday 4 April – 4 bays reserved
- Friday 5 April – 21 bays reserved
- Wednesday 10 April – 35 (estimate)
No access via Sports Centre road (all Sports Centre car parks) – Thursday 11 – Friday 12 April
- Sports Centre road car park closed
- Sports Centre blue zone car park closed
- Sports Centre pay & display car park closed

There are no known car park disruptions to Medway campus for the next two weeks. Any disruptions that we are made aware of will be updated on the transport events calendar
