- Thinking about a career in a think tank? – 18th January
Interested in a career in a think tank? Chatham House is now looking to recruit the next cohort of interns for the Molchanov Sustainability Internship Programme. This interactive event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the internship programme, as well as discover more about the work they do and what it’s like to work at a world-leading think tank. You will hear from staff about their work and career pathways, and interns will share insights about the internship programme – from the application process and interviews to what a typical day in the life of an intern includes.

- Calling all Conservationists – Volunteer Pond Officer for an 11-week project in Spring 2022
Would you like some hands-on experience of e-DNA pond water sampling, with the opportunity to learn about Natural England’s pond restoration and creation scheme for Great Crested Newts? The e-DNA monitoring runs from 15th April until 30th June when ponds are most active and we envisage needing help 2-3 days per week during this time.

Commercial Awareness – 12:00-13:00
Commercial awareness is one of the top skills employers are looking for from students and graduates who are applying for internships, placements and graduate roles. In this session you will find out what commercial awareness is, how employers test for it during the recruitment process, how to make yourself more commercially aware and some useful techniques to help you demonstrate this.
Volunteering in the Kent Community Oasis Garden – 12:30-14:00
Come along and join us at KentCOG every other Wednesday from 1 -2pm. You will meet fellow students, learn new skills and get the most out of gardening, socialising and wellbeing opportunities. We also aim to run workshops supporting the local wildlife. Please wear sturdy footwear, bring waterproofs (always be prepared for the wet weather!) There is shelter in the potting shed and also in the polytunnels. All tools will be provided.
