Come and find out about the different roles on offer at Kent Police, at our next careers evening at the Kent Police College in Maidstone.You will have the opportunity to speak with police officers and staff for a number of roles along with members of the Corporate Recruitment Team.There will be a variety of teams available at the event, this will provide you with the opportunity to discuss different roles in the force as well as attend recruitment presentations for more information:

If you’re looking to join us but need help with your application, then register for one of our recruitment selection workshops.Our workshops will offer you the chance to find out more about the recruitment and selection process for your preferred career. The recruitment team will go through the process step by step, from starting an application to joining us.Please note, all of our recruitment workshops are being offered as Microsoft Teams online workshops. Please ensure you have access to an active email address and either a mobile phone or computer device.

Women and those from an ethnic minority event

This virtual career event has been tailored to women and those from ethnic minorities interested in a career as a police officer. Parents and guardians of young adults from these groups interested in joining within the next 12 to 18 months, are also welcome to attend.During these sessions you will hear about the police officer entry routes and training that is provided on the PEQF (Policing Education Qualification Framework). You will also hear from our serving officers who are female and from an ethnic minority background. They will be talking about their experiences of joining the police, what encouraged them to join, their careers so far and how they have been supported as an under-represented individual.

Fitness test preparation workshop

The police fitness test is part of the recruitment process and involves you running a 15 metre track in time with bleeps which get increasingly faster.At this preparation workshop we will:

  • detail the process and what to expect
  • provide ideas and training tips
  • share with you our experiences of the test to help you get yourself ready

Interview skills workshop

Many employers use competency-based interviews to determine whether a candidate has specific skills related to the role that they are applying for. It is important to prepare for a competency-based interview as this can equip you with the confidence and knowledge that is needed to successfully convey why you would be the best fit for the role.Our workshop will guide you through how to prepare for a competency based interview and give you competency-based interview tips.

If you have applied to join us as a police constable and are awaiting your senior interview then this workshop will help you to prepare.
