  • Careers in the Civil Service – Wednesday 1st December 17:30 (Virtual event)

Join a panel of Kent alumni to hear about their experiences of starting their careers in the Civil Service. They will be sharing their top tips and advice to students also interested in joining the Civil Service. There will be a live Q&A at the end of the session and students will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

  • The Explorers Conference at the Natural History Museum – 26th November

The Natural History Museum’s Explorers Programme welcomes students and early career researchers from Black, Asian and other racially minoritised backgrounds who are interested in the environmental sciences, especially in the Natural History sector, to find out more about research and career pathways in this field. Hear directly from scientists from marginalised ethnic groups about their careers and experiences, discover the varied opportunities in the environmental sciences, and take part in workshops. Followed by a networking session.

Change 100 is a programme of paid summer work placements, professional development and mentoring for talented university students and recent graduates with any disability or long-term condition. These webinars will explain the scheme in more detail as well as the opportunities available.

  • Resilience in a Post-Covid World1st December in person

This event is a 90-minute informal collaborative workshop for students at all stages of their studies with an external facilitator, on resilience and wellbeing, giving students the opportunity to reflect on their experiences learn practical techniques to support their wellbeing. The session aims to inspire and motivate, leaving people feeling more equipped and more positive about the future. Students can also earn 10 employability points for their attendance.

The session will be repeated at future dates.
