The Anglian Water Graduate Leadership programmes runs for two years, the scheme is designed to give you the experiences you need to develop invaluable skills to become a front line manager. You can expect to gain hands-on experience working on technical or business-focused projects alongside skilled colleagues who’ll support you throughout your programme.

Who is Anglian Water?

Anglian Water is the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales serving nearly seven million people.

What is the role?

Throughout the Graduate Leadership Programme, you’ll help to lead and manage teams, gaining operational management experience you need to develop to become a front-line manager. The programme will give you the exclusive opportunity to work in all our core business areas where you’ll be supported by different placement managers across our region. For the duration of each placement, you’ll learn the skills and knowledge that you’ll need to flourish in a management role.

During the Graduate Leader Programme, you’ll have the unique opportunity to get involved with the following:

  • Spend time with our field teams learning about the sewage treatment process

  • Gain on the ground experience of network maintenance, sampling and leakage to help ensure that we continue to deliver a reliable supply of safe, clean water to our customers

  • Identifying and delivering optimisation programmes across the water treated distribution network

  • Understanding the focus on health and safety and why it is at the heart of everything we do

  • Getting involved in supporting and managing big incidents caused by extreme and adverse weather conditions, making sure any impact on our customers is controlled and minimised.

Who is best suited to this role?

  • If you have a minimum of a 2:2 degree (any disciplines welcome – inspire and surprise us!)

  • A strong passion and desire to make a difference whilst leading and developing teams

  • A relentless desire to succeed

  • Eager to take risks and continually explore new opportunities

  • Comfortable working outside at times and a passion for the environment

  • Flexibility to travel and relocate between placements including a full UK driving license.
