Annual Postgraduate Research Festival – University of Kent:

Vacancies:

Researcher – SSPSSR:

Recently completed PG student wanted, with good skills in SPSS or R, to do some short-term research work on the use of drugs and alcohol by students in England. This work is to inform the development of the University of Kent’s drug and alcohol policy.

The work will involve extracting data from published sources and secondary analysis of survey data.

It will be a few weeks work over this summer, paid at the hourly paid researcher rate (£16.77 per hour).

Hospital Carer Support Workers – Carers’ Support:

Salary £19,037 p/a

37.5 hrs per week

6mth Initial Contract (with possibility to extend)

Carers’ Support – Canterbury, Dover & Thanet provide support to Carers who provide unpaid

help and support to a relative, friend or neighbour, who otherwise could not manage due to frailty,

physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.

The successful applicants will be confident, self-motivated and have excellent communication

skills. They will be required to develop strong relationships within health teams and identify

Carers on site. They will provide information to Carers about the support available to them and

work with other professionals on site such as care navigators to deliver holistic support to Carers

and the person they care for.

A full driving license and your own transport are essential.
