Bocconi University, in partnership with the Financial Times, is looking for 200 talented individuals who are proactive, curious and entrepreneurial to take part in the FTxBocconi Talent Challenge 2022, the third edition of a global competition on the hybrid world, taking place at the FT headquarters in London and virtually 3-7 February 2022.
Participants will compete in teams of people from all over the world to solve real business and strategic challenges through an exciting hackathon experience.
They have the option to take part in person at the FT’s London Offices, Bracken House, or digitally from their homes.
As per the topic of the challenge, “the hybrid world”, we are bringing to you a hybrid Challenge competition for the first time.
The challenge
We live in a hybrid world and we are learning to integrate physical and digital presence. This applies to all dimensions of our daily life. We need to reorganize our lives and markets & society needs to offer the right products, services, experiences. This revolution, which requires new ideas, innovative startups and flexible creative thinking must first of all be sustainable from a social, environmental and economic point of view.
Challengers this year will focus on solutions for the “Future Hybrid World” in the following fields:
- Work
- Health
- Entertainment
- Customer Experience
They will work with rising star alumni and academics from Bocconi University who will support and mentor them throughout the event to help understand how innovation works within management, finance, marketing and entrepreneurial frameworks.
The Challengers will have access to masterclasses and talks on the impact of digitalization and emerging digital technologies on the business world, delivered by panels of experts from Financial Times and Bocconi University.
Each team has the opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of an audience of professionals, members of the Bocconi University Board, academia, alumni, as well as FT journalists and board members.
All participants will have the chance to network with each other and with Bocconi professors and alumni, and will get a real sense of what it takes to thrive in the business world today.
Due to Covid-19, if the event cannot take place in person, it will take place online.

1. Five winners will also have the possibility to participate for free in one of the business courses run online by SDA Bocconi in partnership with GetSmarter
2. B4i – Bocconi 4 innovation package
- The winners of the challenge will be interviewed for the final phase of the B4i acceleration programme
- The winners will have access to a dedicated one-to-one session with the B4i team to review the business idea and the presentation
