The University of Kent Development and Evaluation Team is looking for a UKAT In-School Outreach Officer. This is a fixed term contract and would ideally suit a placement student or recent graduate.
The UKAT In-School Outreach Officer will work closely with colleagues within the Outreach and Widening Participation Team and in the University of Kent Academies Trust (UKAT) Schools, to support and deliver the University’s outreach and progression curriculum at UKAT. Working principally on activities to help achieve the University’s access targets within its Access and Participation Plan, the UKAT In-School Outreach Officer will be a placement student currently studying at the University of Kent, who will act as a key school-based support for administration and delivery of activities towards the wider UKAT strategy.
The role holder will deliver and support a range of pre-prepared workshops, talks and activities from the University of Kent’s progressive outreach curriculum to primary and secondary school students in the UKAT schools, in partner primary schools, on the University campuses and online where necessary, working closely with student ambassadors. They will provide administrative and practical support for activities under the guidance of the OWP UKAT team. They will also support the IAG and Careers team in the UKAT schools, acting as a role model to school students and a point of reference on University life.
This role is available on a full time and fixed term basis From August 2023 until July 2024.
