Our Economics Year in Industry students are about to head off! We met with them to prepare for this exciting new adventure.
The new cohort for the Economics with Year in Industry programme attended a “Pre-Departure Briefing”. 12 students have successfully secured a placement for the next academic year (2022-23). This is a great achievement, which was recognised with a variety of well-known placement providers, such as Morgan Stanley, IBM, GES-HMT, Aldi, GES-Government Social Research, Pfizer, etc.
Dr Penélope Pacheco-López (Director of Placements) explained the various ways in which the HSS Placements Team will keep in contact with them while they are busy at their placement. The expectations on their performance are set high. They are going to be ambassadors for the School of Economics and the University of Kent.
