Applications for Internship Experience UK 2022 are now open!
Overview
Internship Experience UK 2022 is your no.1 opportunity this summer to supercharge your CV ahead of the key application season and secure a graduate role or internship. The programme has been completely re-designed and enhanced to provide you with even more connections, opportunities and insights – your springboard to a fantastic career in the public sector, policy & charity.
Careers in these sectors can be competitive to enter with many graduates applying and high requirements for each sector. However, the advantage of working in this area is a major draw for many candidates, including the chance to positively impact the lives of the masses in policy, shaping and developing them in the public sector and giving aid to causes that you truly believe in through working in charity.
As we’re reaching the end of the pandemic and employers are hiring the same if not more graduates than before 2020 – now is the time to ensure you have the sector-focused skills and knowledge that top employers will be looking for this autumn.
A brand new experience for 2022
We’re bringing you an entirely new Internship Experience UK this year with senior representatives from the public sector, policy & charity for you to network with. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the types of work you’ll be doing within these sectors and work on a project set directly by the employers themselves.
Plus, this year you’ll be able to:
- Learn from keynote speaker, Tim Campbell, who won the first series of The Apprentice and earned Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment in 2005.
- Connect with leading firms across the public sector, policy & charity including the Civil Service Fast Stream, Frontline and Teach First.
- Supercharge your CV ahead of the applications season by participating in a work sample which has been set by the employers themselves.
Sessions you’ll get
During the three-day experience, you’ll connect with leading employers from the public sector, policy & charity to give you new perspectives on the work you can do and take part in workshops on topics including:
- Public sector 101 – Civil Service
- Leadership – Frontline
- Resilience in education & beyond – Teach First
You will also attend exclusive employer-led sessions to help you gain the most sought-after skills for your future applications, interviews and roles:
- Learn how to demonstrate transferable skills with ICAEW
- Become a pro at preparing for interviews with PwC
- Perfect your presentation skills with WTW
- Gain top-tier CV and application advice from Vodafone
Plus, hear from influential leaders like Tahmid Chowdhury (Forbes 30 under 30) and Elspeth Coates Gibson (Chief Commercial Officer, Appointedd) on topical subjects, including commercial awareness and networking.
