What is the Charityworks programme?

Charityworks is the UK’s charity and nonprofit sector programme and is the highest climbing Times Top 100 employer this year. Trainees on the programme receive the professional development needed to launch their career in the nonprofit sector through a:

  • Full-time, paid 12-month placement at a partner charity or nonprofit organisation,
    starting in Autumn 2022
  • Development programme endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management
  • Support network including the programme team, a peer coach and an external mentor from the sector

  • Step into a real role in areas such as communications & campaigns, HR, research & policy,  fundraising, operations, IT, finance, or frontline services, that hasn’t just been made for a  Charityworks trainee but for a talented individual that can support the organisation’s mission (check out some of the host organisations below)
  • Explore topics, themes, and issues with your peers, Charityworks facilitators, and external key sector speakers through our learning session and conferences which will give you the knowledge for a successful career in the sector
  • Grow your networks, including your mentor on the programme who will be a leader or an emerging leader in the sector, and build connections you’ll have with you throughout your career
