If you are interested in learning more about the Year in Industry programme with the School of Economics, Dr Penelope Pacheco-Lopez will be holding a talk on the programme. She will provide information on what to expect from a placement year, the support available and what you should be doing now to ensure you are successful in applying for a placement next year. This talk is for all students, whether you are registered for the Year in Industry programme or not.

The Civil Service Fast Stream is an accelerated career path to leadership designed to accelerate progression to the most senior Civil Service roles.

  • Pfizer Undergraduate Placements – application deadline 31st October

Pfizer currently have a variety of undergraduate roles live on their website commencing September 2022. Non-lab based roles are still open for application and will close 31st October 2021.

Students need to complete a Pfizer application form to apply.

  • StudyPlus – Start up Journey – Wednesday 20th October – 2pm – 4pm (This event will be in person on the Canterbury Campus as well as being virtual)

Be inspired at the launch of this year’s Business Start-Up Journey when we welcome Shannie Mears, co-founder and Head of Talent at Elephant Room, a leading creative company dedicated to increasing diversity in advertising.  Shannie, who trained as a dancer, will be talking about her incredible journey from intern to entrepreneur.  One of Management Today’s 35 under 35 she was also named in BIMA’s top 100 talents of 2018 and has worked with brands including Addidas and Britvic, been Brand and Talent Manager for GUAP magazine, founded the Guestlist and hosts her own events encouraging young women to connect as a part of Girls Talk London, called Girls, let’s talk.

At the launch you also will learn more about the University’s flagship student start-up programme, meet the ASPIRE’s team of experts who are here to support you and hear from student entrepreneurs who have started their own businesses.
