‘Discovering Rome in Rome’ History of Art Scholarship 2014-2015

History and Philosophy of Art in Rome partial-fee waiver scholarship

Total value of scholarship: £2,000

An opportunity for one student currently enrolled on the History and Philosophy of Art taught MA, 2014-15 to win a scholarship of £2,000 to follow the programme for the spring term in Rome. The scholarship covers the £1,000 additional fees for Rome programme, compared to the Canterbury programme, and a further £1,000 is awarded to finance costs associated with the practicalities of transferring to Rome.

The core module in Rome is entitled:

HA833 Discovering Rome in Rome: Arts in Rome from antiquity to the present day

A further module is to be chosen from one of two options:

AR403: Michelangelo in Rome

AR410: Power and Propaganda

To apply for this scholarship please send a supporting statement to rome@kent.ac.uk outlining how you think your studies would be enhanced by a term in Rome. 250-300 words)

Application deadline: Midnight Friday, October 10th 2014.

The successful applicant will be notified on or before Monday 20th October 2014.
