Careers and Employability Events Programme

Each term there are many events organised by the University for Kent students to find out more about careers in specific fields or with particular employers, how to prepare for those careers and how to succeed in the application process.

You will find a full list of the events and a sign up link on the Careers & Employability webpages at:

Advice:

  • the events include industry insights, skills development and how to navigate the recruitment processes
  • make sure you search carefully so that you don’t miss anything – either scroll through them all or use key words to search
  • Remember:  many graduate jobs do not require you to have a specific degree so you can find out about non-legal professions too.
  • The student law societies also have lots of speakers so make sure you join them and keep up to date with what they are doing.  Of particular note is the Kent Student Law Society and Kent Temple Law Society which you are automatically members of but you do need to sign up to receive their emails (see them at the Freshers / Refresher’s fairs).  There are also another 6 or 7 student societies with a legal focus:  for a full list see https://kentunion.co.uk/activities
