This blog is essentially a resource centre for any student considering a career in the legal professions. You will find advice and information and links to many other sources of support and information. In addition the University Careers & Employability Service and the LSSJ Employability Team offer activities designed to develop awareness and understanding of legal and other professional fields, so you can gain the skills and abilities required for a successful and rewarding future career. University run events are on the university calendar and notified to you in the weekly employability bulletin. We also aim to bring opportunities from outside of the University to your attention (see the ‘off-campus events’ page).

Kent Law School’s Professional Mentoring Scheme aims to help you make career choices, understand the legal working world or navigate the application process for both work and study.

A mentor can really help you to develop your understanding of a career, assist in growing your network and give excellent tips for successful job hunting (often including CV advice, mock interviews and sometimes work experience!)
