Female MBA students embracing equity

Our exciting MBA Guest Lecture Series continues on Friday 10 March 2023, covering the important topics of diversity and inclusion with a focus on women in leadership.

The free event, hosted by MBA Course Director, Debbie Kemp, will run from 12.30pm until 14.00pm (GMT) on Zoom and will include panel discussions, insightful guest speakers and time for breakout sessions and Q&A.

It will be led by Kent MBA Women in Leadership Scholar, Lola Osideko-Johnson in conjunction with two of this year’s full-time MBA students, Soumashree Chandra and Inetina Ebitonmor (pictured above).

Details of the guest speaker(s) will be released shortly; however, it is no coincidence that the lecture is timed to coincide with International Women’s Day. This year’s IWD campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity.

“Equity isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a must have. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society’s DNA. And it’s critical to understand the difference between equity and equality. When we embrace equity, we embrace diversity, and we embrace inclusion.”

MBA student Ghaith Al-Taie

This subject will feature heavily in the talks of the guest speakers, where we will learn how they promote diversity and inclusion in their careers. Are you in? Will you come and embrace equity with us?
