Lola Osideko-Johnson

MBA 2021, Nigeria

“Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!”

I am currently working with Balfour Beatty as Project Manager for CPS, M25 Network. Prior to this, I worked in the Water Utility sector for Glenfield Invicta where I progressed as Site Services Coordinator to SHEQ Manager overseeing the organisation’s management system and implementing the company’s objectives for ISO45001, 14001 and 9001 systems.

I started my career as a Contracts Executive managing the tender administration of oil and gas helicopter contract bids for AeroContractors in partnership with Canadian Helicopters Corporation. I’ve been privileged to work with a couple of global organisations in various roles which presented great opportunities for travel, experience, development and building long lasting relationships with former colleagues turned dear friends, and managers now life coaches.

My career interests are in Project Health and Safety with strong ethos in continuous improvement and project delivery. I’m a certified PRINCE2, Agile PM and BSI ISO45001 Lead Auditor.

Outside of work, I love being a plant mum. I enjoy bouldering and cycling.

What attracted you to the Kent MBA programme and why?

I live in Maidstone thus location was an attraction for me. Nonetheless, KBS has always been my first choice owing to its accreditations and supportive faculty. Also, the fact that a former colleague who I admire very much is an alumnus played a role in my decision to attend KBS.

What were your motivations for undertaking an MBA?

To develop professionally and enhance my managerial skills.
