Paul Potter, Maintenance Section and Chris Wright, Grounds Maintenance.  The nominations were received from Helen Ellis, Deputy Director of Estates, Campus Services.  Two weeks prior to the AUDE Conference Peter Czarnomski and Helen Ellis did a review of the external parts of the Campus which the AUDE delegates would be walking past during the conference period.  There was a very short window of opportunity to undertake works to the grounds, external facades of buildings and pathways.  Both Paul Potter and Chris Wright responded to requests for assistance with these works with enthusiasm and vigour.  Nothing was too much trouble. They co-ordinated their teams and engaged contractors at very short notice and delivered on time.  They really went the extra mile – with a smile on their face. They are both extremely positive and proactive members of our team.

Catherine Collins, PA to the Estates Senior Management Team.  The nomination was received from Helen Ellis, Deputy Director of Estates, Campus Services.  Catherine was invaluable in the planning and co-ordination of the AUDE conference.  Her expertise and experience in event management was evident.  Her effort over the preceding 12 months was consistent and Catherine was dealing with changes, problems and issues right up to the last minute. There is no doubt that the conference would not have gone as smoothly without Catherine’s contribution and commitment.

In awarding the Staff Excellence Award the Senior Management Team, acknowledge the impact made to both the Estates Department and the University.
