Gemma Reed – Gulbenkian
The nomination was received from Daniel Parsons, F&B Manger. Daniel has recognised that Gemma has gone above and beyond her role when she voluntarily stepped up to provide support to the F&B Manager with the day to day operation, when a manager was seconded to another team.

The nomination was received from Elaine Long, Reception Manager. Elaine has recognised the work Dean carried out to fully support and engage with the All Active programme, together with looking at new ways to attract new customers.
Graham Marsh – Darwin Kitchen
The nomination was received from Chris Terry, F&B Manager. Chris recognised Graham’s passion and initiative by providing a sustainable food product (banana bread) and developing a gluten free version.
Jessica Huynh – Estate Planning (photo)
The nomination was received from Sophie Pearson, Head of Space and Interior Design. Sophie acknowledged the relationships Jess has created with the reps providing supplies to interior services. This has resulted in an up to date materials library, colleagues are aware of current trends and in particular those that are sustainable. This has resulted in a cost saving for the university.
Joe Lucas – Estate Planning
The nomination was received from Sophie Pearson, Head of Space and Interior Design. Sophie recognised the excellent customer service Joe provided during the preparation for the recent royal visit, together with some recent complicated office moves.
In awarding the Staff Excellence Award the Senior Management Team, acknowledge the impact made to both the Department and the University.
In recognition of the award each person will receive a £75 top up to their Kent One card. Certificates were presented by Trevor Pereira, Director of Commercial Services and Estates on Thursday 1 June 2023 in the Senior Team Lounge, Estates Building.
