Important update from Karen Cox – 6 December

The University’s Executive Group will be holding an all-staff meeting from 3-5pm on Wednesday 6 December. You can attend in person in Sibson Lecture Theatre 3, or online. There will be important updates from Karen Cox about the University’s finances, an overview of where we are at the moment with Kent 2030, and a Q&A with the University’s Executive Group.

It is not necessary to do so, but you can sign up for this meeting by informing the University whether you will attend in person or online.

If you can, please make every effort to attend this meeting. Your negotiators have been working hard to impress upon EG the importance of giving all staff as much up-to-date information as possible about the University’s position and about Kent 2030. It would be helpful for Kent UCU to make a good showing and for members to put their questions directly to management.

A reminder also that Kent UCU will be hosting a meeting with Andrew McGettigan, a leading expert on the UK HE sector, at 1pm on Thursday 7 December; Andrew will be presenting an important report on the University’s position. Please see Kester’s previous email from this morning or contact Christopher Burden-Strevens (C.Burden-Strevens@kent.ac.uk) if you have not received an invitation to this meeting.
