Dr Dylan de Gourville

Dr Dylan de Gourville is a social and environmental psychologist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Kent, working on the European Research Council-funded CONSPIRACY_FX project. His research focuses on misinformation and conspiracy beliefs in the climate domain, with his doctoral work examining ideologically distinct forms of climate change conspiracism and their implications for environmental engagement and climate action. His research also explores negative attitudes towards vegans and veganism, including the role of conspiracy beliefs in intergroup relations and meat consumption behaviours. More broadly, he is interested in understanding and fostering support for animal welfare across political and ideological divides, with his recent work investigating how implicit social identity cues influence public support for animal welfare organisations and their policies.
