Announcing our first MBA Guest Lecture and Business Soundbite speaker

Get inspired to develop and succeed as a sustainable business.

Evan Rocheford

Join us for our combined MBA Guest Lecture and Business Soundbite hybrid event focused on sustainability, taking place on Wednesday 4 December from 12.30 – 14.00 (GMT). You can join us in the dedicated MBA Suite in the Sibson building at Canterbury Campus or online via Teams from wherever you are in the world.

This interactive hybrid event will be led by Sustainability Scholar, Ashish Mahadeo Thakre, Chevening Scholar, Miarizaka Randriamananjara, and Higher Degree Apprentice and Deputy Director (Estates, Facilities and Capital Projects) at Moorfields Hospital, Paul Cartwright, who will each give a short introduction on what they do and how they drive sustainability in their careers.

After this, we will be joined by our special guest speakers, the first being Evan Rocheford, Co-Founder and CEO of NutraMaize, a Purdue University-affiliated AgBioScience company on a mission to transform the world’s largest staple crop – corn – into a platform for delivering better nutrition on a population-wide scale. NutraMaize specialises in the development of orange corn hybrids, which get their vibrant colour from significantly enhanced levels of antioxidant carotenoids. To date, NutraMaize has secured over US$3 million in non-dilutive federal grant funding (SBIR/STTR) and is in the process of scaling its first commercial F1 hybrid to supply feed to organic egg producers.

Better health starts with the seeds we plant. Better eggs start with better feed.

Our organisers alongside MBA Director, Debbie Kemp will welcome a global live audience, bringing together our community of MBA students, alumni, and the broader community of business leaders.

If sustainability is a subject close to your heart, do join us on Wednesday 4 December and see what this lecture series has to offer. There will be a chance to submit questions to the panel during the Q&As.

It’s a free event – register your place today.

Our MBA Guest Lecture and Business Soundbite series runs across the year covering three main themes: Sustainability in November/December, Diversity/Women in Leadership in March and Entrepreneurship in May.

Our MBA is underpinned by our high-quality research and informed by the global outlook of our international community. It builds on your current experience to transform you into a responsible business leader.
