Alternative publishers and formats
To help diversify the library’s collections and your reading lists, consider other sources of information outside of traditional scholarly contexts that represent diverse voices and perspectives.
This may include using alternative publishers, platforms and formats to discover these voices as well as meeting the diverse learning needs of your student cohort.
You can explore (and add to) our list of alternative publishers to find possible new resources. They may represent particular regions, groups and subject areas.
We have also included EDI collections from more well-known academic publishers for you to search through.

Consider adding videos, podcasts and other streamed content which may provide an opportunity for underrepresented voices to be heard and improve accessibility for your students.
We can help you with various media e-resources available across most disciplines. We would especially recommend Kanopy, a video streaming service that has films, documentaries and educational videos.
