Casting Assistant Opportunity, National Theatre

The National Theatre are looking for a Casting Assistant to join our Casting Department.

The Casting Department consists of the Head of Casting, Deputy Head of Casting, Casting Associate, Senior Casting Assistant, and a Casting Assistant. The department takes responsibility for the casting of up to 25 productions at the National Theatre every year, together with those produced by the Learning Department.

This role will provide an introduction to working in Casting, and as part of a key team within a large-scale producing house, with opportunity for tangible learning and development experiences in this area of the industry.

The successful candidate will have the following:
-Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people at all levels in person, by correspondence, and on the telephone.
-A knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, drama/theatre, actors and acting
-Previous administration experience in an office environment, with good organisational skills, and ability to set-up and maintain administrative systems
-Good attention to detail, including the ability to proof-read and correct own work
