Visual Arts Administrator
Southbank Centre
Looking for an Administrator to join Visual Arts department on fixed-term, part-time basis.
About the role and the team:
Since 1968 the Hayward Gallery has been one of the world’s leading public galleries of modern and contemporary art. The hub of visual arts at Southbank Centre, the Hayward plays a vital role in the London art scene through its original programme of large-scale exhibitions, smaller project shows and outdoor installations. In 2018 the Hayward Gallery celebrated its 50th anniversary year with a number of special events and programmes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with all financial processes relating to the department, including setting up suppliers, raising purchase orders and invoices, coding and reconciling expenditure and coordinating per diems and petty cash for artists and their teams.
- To coordinate and book travel and accommodation for artists.
- To book meetings, take minutes and follow up on actions as required.
- Maintain the filing systems for the Hayward Gallery (including Google Drive and archive), and ensure Hayward Gallery Intranet kept up to date.
- Organise requests for office equipment within the department.
- Arrange training for the Exhibitions teams as required.
- To draft correspondence to general enquiries.
- To act as Fire Marshall for the Visual Arts teams (training will be provided).
- Any other duties as required by the Director or Deputy Director.
