Maidstone United Women’s Football Team

Maidstone United are looking for someone who has an interest in football and is available to cover their Women’s Team’s games on Sunday afternoons during the football season. ‘Home’ games are played at the Gallagher Stadium in Maidstone whilst ‘Away’ matches take place throughout the county of Kent. Initially, and primarily, the role would involve providing content (text and pictures) and updating our social media feeds with information from and about our Women’s & Girls teams.
In addition, the Maidstone United (Men’s Team) videographer films the Women’s Team’s Home games and uploads highlights to the web, whilst Maidstone United also has a dedicated volunteer, fan-run, online radio station: ‘Stones Live’. We would also look to involve the interested applicant in these areas.
We are happy to discuss hours involved and tailor the role to suit the right applicant.
Maidstone United Women & Girls is part of the Maidstone United Community Section and is a ‘not for profit’ volunteer run organization. As such, unfortunately, this is an unpaid role; however, we are able to cover travel costs and expenses.
The role would particularly suit a Maidstone United fan who is based locally.
In conclusion then, we are looking for a volunteer:
* With an interest in football (Does not have to be an ‘expert’ pundit!)
* Who is possibly a Maidstone United fan (although that’s not a ‘deal breaker’!)
* Who is available on Sunday afternoons during the football season
* Who is comfortable operating the various different social media platforms
* Who would like the opportunity to collaborate with Maidstone United’s existing media team (videographer / online radio)
* Who is happy to undertake the role on a volunteer basis (will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred)
If interested please contact John Jackson by e-mailing, mufc.coach@btinternet.com.
