12 volunteers for ‘Tape’ one of the biggest events curated by the A+E Lab.

A+E Lab and Historic Dockyard Chatham are seeking 12 volunteers for one of the biggest events curated by the A+E Lab. Volunteers will be working closely with the internationally renowned architect collective Numen/For Use to build up together their installation using 50km of tape.
Who wish to participate need to be:

Above 18 years old
-
Speedy and handy.

Not afraid of height (working up to 6 m high).

Having experience working with your hands e.g. building, making.
The build is from Monday 6th until Thursday 16th March 9:00-18:00. (There will be 1 hour lunch break as well as short breaks in between.) We are ideally looking for someone who can join whole duration of build however if you are able to do some of the dates please do let us know of your availability. Build will be taking place at Slip 3 Historic Dockyard Chatham, Main Gate Rd, Chatham ME4 4TZ.
The Team will receive training on the first day on 6th March and the whole period of build will be supervised by a professional rigger. The Artists will then take the lead for this amazing installation. This is one of a kind opportunity to be part of an experience, learn from and get to know the artist with a rewarding outcome transforming one of the most iconic buildings in Medway!
Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the day. Reasonable travel expenses could be covered so please do ask us. Volunteers will have the opportunity to bring friends and family for the installation and beautiful Dockyard. Applicants are asked to complete the application form link below.
