Thursday 6 October at 1-2pm
Channel 4 are currently gearing up to recruit the next cohort of the Scripted Channel 4 Production Training Scheme which will start in March 2023. As you may know, the scheme is Channel 4’s flagship training initiative for supporting diverse talent into entry-level roles in the industry and has supported over 275 trainees since 2003 to build careers in the industry.
The scheme offers paid 12-month entry-level placements with a UK independent production company, as well as regular training and mentoring delivered by our partner, thinkBIGGER! The scheme aims to offer opportunities to those currently underrepresented in the TV industry, in particular Deaf and/or disabled people, ethnically diverse people, and people from lower socio-economic groups. Applicants applying for this scheme may already have a degree in Film and Television (or related) or have some previous experience of the television industry through running, work experience or short term placements, but no more than 6 months.
Before they launch applications mid-October they are holding a Q&A webinar on Thursday 6th October from 1-2pm. This is an opportunity for potential candidates interested in the scheme to find out more and to hear what makes a great application/candidate.
