About the role:

This is a full-time, permanent position that is based primarily at our office in Borough Green, Kent (although some travel to sites will be required).

We offer a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits, including;

– basic salary of £27,000 – £28,000 per annum.

–  based at office in Borough Green, near Sevenoaks, which is located very close to Borough Green & Wrotham railway station.

The role incorporates a wide range of duties, including;

· Producing planning and appeal statements, and site appraisals

· Attending meetings and taking minutes

· Managing planning projects, including liaising with external consultants and clients

· Visiting sites to carry out project work

· Carrying out administrative duties- answering telephones, responding to emails, filing and organising meetings

The usual working hours for this role are 9am – 5pm from Monday – Friday, however you may occasionally need to attend meetings outside these hours (such as Council meetings and public consultation events).

About you:

You’ll need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and to hold a problem-solving mindset. You’ll need strong ICT skills, and to be highly organised and able to multi-task.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to meet deadlines and a high level of attention to detail.

You’ll need to hold an undergraduate degree, and possess a full driving licence. Holding a Royal Town Planning Institute accredited degree is desirable, but not essential, for this role.
