Ever wondered what project management really is, and where projects happen? Whatever your degree, join Association for Project Management’s insight session where you can discover more about this important skill, listen to people who’ve delivered projects, get your questions answered and, yes, find out how much you can earn. This session is aimed at Postgraduate students.

Time management:
· What it is and why it is important
· Common barriers to good time management
· Understand different types of time management issues, strategies, techniques and tools to address these

Interview Skills and Tips with Intel, 11:00-12:00, Online
This session will give you an insight into how to successfully prepare for an interview, how to stand out to hiring managers and how to best speak about your skills and experience.
We will also detail the opportunities Intel offers undergraduates, such as a chance for growth and learning while working with industry-leading innovation. We offer 13-month internships in a range of disciplines within our Swindon, Marlow and Basingstoke sites. Interns are an integral part of the Intel family – you can be sure that your achievements will be recognized here.
PG Week: Writing CVs and cover letters for Postgrads, 13:00-14:00, Online
This session is aimed at current or recent taught postgraduates.
If you haven’t applied for professional jobs recently, or you are looking to update your CV, this talk covers the fundamentals of:
· What should go into a CV
· Creating a positive impact
· Constructing your covering letter
PG Week: Working in research outside of academia, 17:00-18:00, Online
Are you interested in a career in research, but outside of academia? Have you undertaken a master’s and you are wondering how you can use your research skills in industry? Join our alumni panel who will discuss their careers within research and how they have used their skills from their master’s, as well as a Q&A to answer any of your questions.
The panel will be made up of Kent alumni who have previously undertaken a master’s and are now working in research, including:

Wednesday 8 June
PG Week: Postgraduate taster session at the Kent Community Oasis Garden, 11:00-13:00, Meet at Careers and Employability Service Building, Canterbury Campus
Open to Postgraduate students only.
Come and discover the Kent Community Oasis Garden situated at Parkwood. Come along for a 2-hour session at the garden to find out more about the project and get stuck into some gardening yourselves with a taster guided activity. Tea and biscuits provided!
Note: Please make sure you are wearing comfortable, flat footwear that is as sturdy as possible. We have some wellington boots available to borrow but these are limited in size and numbers.

PG Week: Teacher Training Opportunities for Postgrads with Teach First, 14:00-15:00, Online
