Museum Volunteer.
Sandwich Guildhall Museum is looking for volunteers to assist in the running of the museum. The main role includes greeting visitors, showing them around the museum and 16th century court room, discussing the exhibitions and objects, and being based on the front desk running the small museum shop. Whilst we are currently looking for volunteers to carry out these front of house tasks, there will be an opportunity in the future to get involved in other aspects of museum work such as working with the collection and archive or demonstrating handling objects to visitors.
The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. The shifts are currently divided into three hour slots, these are 10am – 1pm and 1pm – 4pm, however we can arrange for a full day slot if required. We are especially interested in volunteers to fill our weekend slots.
This would look great on your CV and could be great opportunity to get some experience and may lead to more opportunities.
