Information on the help available to UCU members is available on the Union’s main website here.

Within the Kent branch of UCU, your first port of call should always be a trained caseworker. Caseworkers can support with a wide range of matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, bullying, health, safety and wellbeing issues, and questions of redundancy and severance (whether compulsory or not). Caseworkers can offer confidential advice, accompany you to meetings with HR or managers, advocate for you in appropriate fora, and help you navigate the University’s myriad ‘people policies’.

If you would like to speak to a caseworker at Kent, please contact branch secretary Owen Lyne in the first instance.
