Most of your assignments the questions or task will have been set by your lecturers and they will have guided you to relevant literature via a reading list. For your dissertation or research project you will be responsible for coming up with your own research question and finding and evaluating your research sources.

The Library has a range of help available to assist you with your dissertation.

Sage Research Methods provides help with planning your research from defining your topic through to research design, data collection and writing up your research. It’s method map can also help you explore research methods identifying key terminology and definitions and resources on these different methods.

The Library Skill module also has a section on literature reviews providing help on what is a literature review and how to do one and also guidance on managing your references.
